HELLO!

Hi! I'm Sheila

Sheila Tillman is a Revenue Cycle Strategist with a specialty in analytics.  Originally from Lakeland, Florida. She attended Florida Memorial College, majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Sheila’s passion for healthcare began during her time as a “Candy Striper” at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where she first discovered her love for the field. Shortly after college, she joined the US Army as a Combat Medic, where her exceptional service earned her the Commanding General’s Award and several “Soldier of the Month” accolades.

After completing her military service, Sheila began her professional career as a claims representative at Travelers Insurance Company, which later became United Healthcare. This position allowed her to work closely with senior-level executives, where she was encouraged to transition into consulting with a focus on process improvement. Sheila quickly gained recognition for her ability to see order in chaos, identify inefficiencies, conduct thorough analysis, and facilitate cost-effective process improvements. This was the introduction to process improvement.  She has worked for health insurance carriers such as Blue Cross, Kaiser and Cigna.  She was also a Provider Services Supervisor for the Georgia Medicaid fiscal intermediary Affiliated Computer Services (ACS).  After years in claims, she made her way to Hospital revenue cycle. Her roles included Manager of Business Service, Director of Revenue Cycle and Manager of Patient Financial Services.  During her stint at Grady Healthcare, within three years, she recovered $39 million for her clients and earned commendations from CFOs across the country for her outstanding leadership and strategic thinking.

Sheila’s unique ability to analyze and quantify process improvements is attributed to what she calls her “Squid Eye.” This talent allows her to conduct deep fact-finding and quantitative data analysis, which she uses to support clients’ process optimization efforts. Her work has not only transformed organizations but also helped her build strong professional and social relationships. Sheila has logged over 1,000 volunteer hours across the country, focusing on feeding the unhoused and helping women who have faced adversity to gain practical skills and secure employment in the tech industry.

Sheila’s blend of military discipline, consulting expertise, and passion for community service makes her a standout leader in the healthcare consulting industry.
